We currently seek a Global Director, Compensation to be based in East Hills, Long Island, New York at our Corporate Headquarters.This key position will be responsible for leading and developing the global compensation strategy, planning, and design, aligned with overall business strategies.
Responsibilities include: Develops, implements and administers Executive Compensation programs ensuring alignment with business objectives and shareholder interest. Provides analysis and support Board of Director and/or Compensation Committee meetings and manages SEC data gathering and filing processes.Works in collaboration with Senior Management to develop appropriate materials for meetings including competitive data, plan design alternatives (cash, equity, deferred compensation, etc.), Executive Officer annual compensation review/approval. Works with internal/external counsel and Senior Management to ensure appropriate data components and other disclosures are reported accurately and in line with regulations. Manages projects relating to executive compensation (i.e., design of new plans, employee communication re: executive compensation programs, analysis of plan effectiveness)Development and coordination of all Compensation initiatives and processes world wide. Works closely with Business Managers and local HR managers to identify HR and business compensation needs and, accordingly, develops/implements compensation programs to attract, reward, motivate and retain officer and employee populations.Directs the calculations of field incentive payments. Oversees the development of company salary structures, and merit budgets. Determines market position, recommends changes and ensures the publication/distribution of the Salary Administration Policies and Procedures manuals.Designs/updates sales incentive plans and other variable pay plans, and develops highly compensated, customized offers. Establishes/oversees annual salary planning process, job evaluations, market and salary adjustments, promotions, bonus payments and merit increases consistent with performance measures.Oversees the coordination and participation in external surveys to determine pay practices and market rates both geographically and industry specific. Identifies market trends to establish competitive positioning within the market pace.Develops compensation budgets based on analysis of the external market and business performance.Initiates the development/enhancement of automated compensation related systems and reports.Leads and directs activities of Compensation Analyst
Requirements
BS or MS degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or other related area. Minimum of 10 years of HR experience including 6+ years of comprehensive global compensation experience that includes designing, implementing and administering compensation programs (base, variable, executive incentive, sales compensation design incentive) in a mid sized corporation. Exposure to regulatory framework pertaining to compensation (i.e., FLSA) is required. Experience with multi-cultural corporate environment. Able to lead change management initiatives and obtain buy-in at all levels throughout the organization. Proven track record of working effectively with senior management – adept at relationship building and positively leading change. Requires keen awareness of sales effectiveness metrics.
Must be a customer focused, self starter, strategic thinker, with a solid background in global compensation and executive compensation. Requires approximately 25% travel both domestic and international. CCP is a plus.
