We are currently looking for a Director of International Sales at our Batesville, IN location.

JOB SUMMARY: This person will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to accommodate business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and implements strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs and discount rates. Meeting with customers directly and/or supporting sales representatives in the development and maintenance of relationships and managing the sales processes. Open and develop new international market opportunities through distributor channels or direct representation. Identify and execute continuous improvement plans for internal processes such as order processing, distribution, and customer data profiles. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and manage Sales Representatives through call planning, proper resource allocation, AIP management, territory reviews, creative problem solving, feedback system development and inspiring each team member to reach full potential. Guides the regional sales team in the development of business plans, territory goals, strategic planning, root cause analysis, countermeasure development, trend analysis and forecasting. Meets with key clients, supporting Sales Representatives in the development and maintenance of relationships and managing the sales process. Analyzes and controls expenditures of the region within budgetary requirements. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition. Manage associates utilizing Human Resources processes including quarterly and annual performance reviews (APEX), development plans and top grading. Follow all company policies/practices. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred. 5 to 7 years of outside sales and sales management experience within a consultative sales environment, preferably in a B2B, Consumer Products or Financial Services is required. Must be able to relocate to Batesville, IN and travel up to 40% of the time. Highly motivated professional with excellent communication and inter-personal skills including presentation skills to individuals and small groups. Problem solving ability dealing with many variables and minimal standardization. Proven ability to manage in a remote sales team environment. Sales management experience within a consultative sales environment with a consistent track record of success. Capability to leverage your relationships and your knowledge of the region in which you manage. Consistent track record for developing new business and managing a complex sales cycle, from generating leads to closing deals.
