POSITION OBJECTIVE:
• Manages the overall strategic roles of the Purchasing and Sourcing Functions at facilities assigned in the Region.
• Responsible for coordination with Global Commodity Managers, COE’s and Corporate personnel to ensure effective execution of Corporate and Business Unit Strategies.
• Drive Regional leverage as well as focus on opportunities for reduced cost and added value in Emerging Market Sources.
• Facilitate Regional requirements for reporting and spokemanship in necessary forums.
• Driving down costs in their responsible area /plants.
• Develop Commodity Strategies.

Commodity Responsibilities: approx. 50%
- Acts as liaison between GCM and Region facilities to drive cross-function commodity strategies, NPD and Productivity Initiatives.
- Coordinate all requirements by GCM and COE for Region.
- Negotiate commodity contracts and maintain relationships with Regional suppliers.
- Assure overall quality of supply base and maintain effective Supplier Relationship Management on behalf of Global
Sourcing VP.
- Build Strong value-added relationships with suppliers, internal customers, and cross-functional departments.
- Ensure Aftermarket plans are covered in all local relationships.
- Represent Global Sourcing and Supply Chain in the Region on behalf of VP.
- Provide critical and strategic information to GCM’s and COE’s on opportunities in emerging markets.
- Participate and drive actions on “local to global” as appropriate.
- Provide strategic input and analysis on market driven impacts to commodity management and economic impacts.
- Develop Strategic plans to cover: Supply Chain impacts in Region, Economic implications of currency, Emerging Market Development, Supplier Development, Supplier Management, Contract Management, NPD, Driving Product Standardization, where possible, driving Innovation in Sourcing, Supply Chain and the business.
- Utilize PTE Vision Matrix supporting organization long range plan.

Plant Responsibilities: approx. 50%
- Drives local Sourcing Plans in the plants to deliver required Material Productivity, Supply Chain Efficiencies and overall Total Cost Modeling.
- Lead initiatives in region to drive commodity leveraging between facilities.
- Assure continuity of supply for all assigned commodities and facilities.
- Drive SOMI and Terms initiatives at each facility in support of overall strategic Sourcing Plan.
