This corporation’s push for expansion via both acquisitions and generic growth fuels its six-fold revenue increase over the last eleven years.  Success is attributed to relentless adherence to lean/TPS deployment while constantly challenging the superior talent resources within the organization.  This search is within a leading business group of the corporation, one known as a primary pump for producing key operations leadership for the entire corporation.  The Director of Operations Excellence is a grooming role charged to drive continuous improvement to the next level, while preparing a staff of future leaders for the next ascension in their careers.  Our client is typically the market leader of its products and benchmark for the competition.  Past Directors of this function typically earn the next career challenge within a 20-24 month period.

Our client requires an MBA in addition to a Business, Operations, or Engineering Bachelors degree.  Individuals must have at least ten years manufacturing experience, which include prior leadership roles from multiple functions which include operations, operations excellence, supply chain, finance, or engineering.   A passion for lean/TPS principles and prior leadership of kaizen events are requisite for consideration.  Candidates must demonstrate success with cellular concepts, standard work, 5S, setup reduction, kanbans, visual factory, plus intensity for metrics.  Successful mentoring and development of A-players is a primary measurement for success and advancement.  This role leads teams consisting of high-level leaders which drive business process improvement. Persuasive communication skills are paramount for success.
