GENERAL SUMMARY Act as the primary company resource on regulatory matters by providing guidance on complex and ever changing federal and international regulatory requirements to senior management. Work with key business units and functions to develop positions on regulatory issues and espouse those positions with government regulatory officials and trade association partners.Develop and lead a global regulatory influence plan that advances our Global business needs and supports our innovation and TDC programs Manage CUSA and NAFS regulatory compliance and nutrition labeling functions in addition to matrix relationships with Pepperidge Farm and global regulatory groups. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Proactively interact with and influence key regulatory officials and trade association partners to protect Campbell Soup Company interests and to advance key positions that achieve Business goals. (30%) 2. Act as the company subject matter expert on US regulatory requirements and emerging domestic and international issues by providing information, guidance and risk analysis to senior management and the global organization. (25%) 3. Work with various business unit and functional groups and external resources to develop company positions and comments and develop influence plans for key regulatory initiatives. (20%) 4. Manage matrix reporting relationships with Campbell global regulatory partners in Europe, Asia Pacific, Emerging Markets, Canada and Pepperidge Farm. (10%) 5. Manage CUSA and NAFS based labeling and nutrition development group to ensure that product labels comply with applicable government regulatory requirements, company policies and support our innovation and TDC agenda.. (10%) 6. Lead the development of a global regulatory strategic plan that supports CSC global business. JOB COMPLEXITY Interpretation of complex domestic and internationals regulations and recommending implementation plans that effectively balance risk to our equity with business impact and cost. * Direct interactions with FDA and USDA re the interpretation of regulations and policies that impact our business * Influence Campbell interests on trade associations, academia and in government interactions * Development of a global regulatory strategy that addresses the varied requirements of the multiple geographies in which we do business * Interact with senior business and functional leaders to develop positions on complex regualtions to advance and protect CSC business interests. BS Degree in Food Science or comparable scientific discipline; M.S. Degree preferred 10 to 15 years working in the Government Regulations area including both USDA and FDA experience; international experience a positive Strong knowledge of federal regulatory and import/export requirments Direct involvement in food industry trade association activities Strong written, oral and negotiation skills Working knowledge of standard computer programs - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes To Apply for this position, please CLICK HERE
