Director, World Wide Strategic Sourcing

Our client is an 8 Billion dollar diversified industrial firm well known throughout the world for its high quality products, its "lean" driven manufacturing focus, and as one of the leading global employers.  They have asked us to assist in their search for their Director, World Wide Strategic Sourcing. Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain, your primary purpose is to create and lead the strategic direction for the World Wide Strategic Sourcing Team to leverage $1,600M of direct material spend.  Working closely with Corporate Sourcing Leaders to leverage enterprise-wide spend to optimize the benefits, and create a 3 to 5 year strategy map for commodity scope that supports corporate strategy, and overall business objectives.  Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: ---Lead cross functional and cross business unit efforts to reduce costs, standardize components, and adapt new supplier technologies ---Build strong value added relationships with suppliers, business unit procurement leaders, plant supply managers, and cross functional departments ---Integrate needs into business plans for commodities/services ---Negotiate commodity contracts to meet customer requirements and achieve supply objectivesRequirements for the position are: ---BS in related fields (Business Admin., Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering) ---Five to seven years experience in strategic sourcing roles, with demonstrated skill in negotiating technical commodities ---Five to ten years overall experience in supply chain related functions ---Team leadership in cross functional environment ---Global sourcing experience a MUST ---Professional certifications:  CPM and MBA preferredPlease submit your resume as a word attachment to:  lynduda@mrorangeburg.com   Only those candidates whose background reflect the required specifications will be contacted.  Thank you in advance for your time and interest.
