Director of Contracts

Responsible for proposal preparations, contract negotiations, and administration of major government and commercial contracts. Through customer contact activities, provides for proper acquisition and fulfillment of contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Through subordinate professional staff, analyzes estimates of material, equipment, and production costs. Reviews performance requirements and delivery schedules ensuring accuracy and completeness. Verifies complete documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications. Prepares reports advising management of their rights and obligations. Recommends modifications in contract contents to top management. 



The person must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field. At least 8 years of experience in contract administration. An excellent knowledge of ITAR regulations and their impact on company procedures is critical.  The candidate must have the ability to work independently and coordinate work of others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Tact and ability to defuse problem situations. Optimistic with a willingness to work through difficult situations to achieve a fair solution.
