Director of Global IT

Armstrong International, Inc. is a multi-national, family-owned company.  Since its inception in 1900, Armstrong has transformed into a global manufacturing company of steam, air, and hot water products.  We provide intelligent system solutions that improve utility performance, lower energy consumption, and reduce environmental emissions.
We are looking for a Director of Global Information Technology.  This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.  Will be responsible for coordinating management and strategic direction for IT operations. These duties will include oversight of the IT organizational structure and deployment of employees, processes and technology to integrate worldwide systems that serve the corporation's employees, customers and expanding markets.

Responsibilities will include:E-Commerce Help select, approve and manage all major procured (IT) products and servicesHelp build and reorganize IT organizational structure as needed for efficient and competent operationsHelp maintain project status reporting, strategic planning and problem resolutionHelp with senior level supervision and project management oversightPlan, coordinate, assign, review and evaluate the work of subordinate managersSubmit required reports as required/requestedHelp establish overall policies and procedures for ITDevelop, implement, and manage short- and long-term plans for global operationsHelp create vision that will support future initiatives relating to technologyOversee budgets and planningCollaborate with divisional managers in the continuous upgrading of global company information systemsInsure that technology investments are supporting global strategic plan and prioritiesHelp manage and develop technology resources in keeping with the mission and vision of the companyManage infrastructure of website Manage company-wide email accountsManage company-wide telecommunications


Applicant must have:

* B.A./B.S. in computer science or computer technology (masters preferred)

* 7-10 years experience with IT systems (minimum of 3 years in management)

* Experience overseeing ERP systems

* Strong skills in Microsoft applications including but not limited to (word, excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, Sharepoint, SQL, Visual Basic)

  * Must be willing and able to travel worldwide
