Director of Printing

We are a family owned and operated Direct Mail and Fund Raising company with facilities located worldwide.  We have an immediate opening for Director of Printing in our Wilton, N.H. office where we employ approximately 230 people.  As the Director of Printing you will assure the optimal functioning of the Label Press Division.  This position will be responsible for managing a 3-shift Flexographic Press Department, with 9 pressmen, 3 helpers, day supervisor and a night supervisor as well as pre-press operator.  Pressroom includes 3-18” 8/Color Flexo Presses. Work with scheduling department to optimize press capacity and balance domestic and foreign letter shops.  Ideal candidate must have the ability to work in a dynamic work environment a must.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Direct all printing and quality assurance

Manage daily press production

Meet production goals (Set-up, Run, Waste)

Quality - Strive for Zero Defects

Troubleshoot, Problem Solve, Provide Solutions, Implement

Equipment Maintenance plan

Delegate duties and responsibilities. 

Make use of each individual’s experience and skills. 

Ensure the optimal utilization of manpower, material and equipment.

Schedule and supervise workflow, equipment and personnel to maximize performance.

Follow-up and reports results of production regularly.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Must be mechanically inclined

Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced demanding environment

Ability to delegate tasks as needed to ensure production goals are met

 

 

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Computer – Company Software, Excel

Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing concepts
