Director of Procurement and Supply Chain

VIG & Partners is a recruitment process outsourcing company. Our client has an immediate opening for a Director of Procurement and Supply Chain.

Position: Director Procurement and Supply Chain

Compensation: Salary Range $125,000 - $140,000 plus bonus

Travel: 20% (domestic)

 

 

Responsibilities:

-Responsible for driving the development, communication and execution of a sourcing global strategy

-Actively support supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management

-Material Cost Reduction (MCR) commitments to business

-Creating and leveraging business opportunities through negotiation and contract development

-Supplier quality/delivery performance and improvement strategies

-Supplier consolidation and overall sourcing simplification

-Drives long term planning on transfer products to Low-Cost-Countries

-Assure that all suppliers provide the highest quality of materials, services and support

-Continually evaluate market conditions and monitor supplier performance

-Sourcing of materials and third party branded products including international purchasing and logistics

-Inventory Management and Forecasting

-Management of the different aspects of the supply chain;sourcing/purchasing/transport/bonding/warehousing

-Distribution and logistics of materials and products between locations (including international)

-Working closely with suppliers and customers to improve operations and reduce cost

-Integration with business processes and IT systems of the business and suppliers

-Implementation and management of vendor managed inventory systems

-Experience in use of ’reverse logistics’ (collection of packaging for recycling, and the return of rejected or damaged goods)

-SKU Rationalization

-Experience in the development and implementation of Supply Chain, Logistics and Inventory Systems

-Travel 10-25%
