Director of Rail Grinding Operations

I.  Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities

 

To hold responsibility and accountability for the financial, production and safety performance of the Production Grinders.

 To forecast, manage and monitor the annual budget for the Production Grinders.To liaise with the Customer on a regular basis to ensure Customer Satisfaction and excellent, professional relationships.To provide objectives and KPIs for the Production Grinding and Support functions to be cascaded throughout the team.To ensure that all HTT Policies and Procedures including Safety are in place and regularly monitored.To ensure that the requirements set out in the Maintenance Plans for maintenance, inspection and repair of the Production Grinders are met.To ensure compliance with all statutory legislationTo ensure the timely provision of the Production Grinders, fit for service.To advise the General Manager of trends and key issues relating to the maintenance, inspection and repair of Production Grinders. Design and develop clear lines of communication, authority and responsibility for all employees within post jurisdiction.To undertake any training as required.To comply and ensure compliance with all Statutory and Company policies and procedures including Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.

 

 

II.  Basic Qualifications

 

A.  Education –Bachelor’s degree in business management or engineering, with a back ground in business.

 

B. Experience 6-10 years experience

III.  Preferred Qualifications 

 

A.  Education or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business management or engineering, with a back ground in business.10-15 years of experience Strong leadership skills5 years of previous management experienceExperience and knowledge of the Railway IndustryExcellent verbal and written communication skills Maintenance background experience or knowledge usefulSafety Management experienceProven Leadership skillsIT Literate in Microsoft Packages – intermediate level

 

B. Interpersonal SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical dataAbility to write in a clear and concise mannerAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions
