Director of Worldwide Sales - Optical Systems

Summary of Director of Worldwide Sales role:



Achieve profitable sales growth of Qioptiq’s products in global markets.

Serve as focal point of all sales activity with current and potential customers.

Facilitate effective communication among customers, distribution channels, and internal Engineering, Marketing, and support functions, to achieve sales goals.Responsibilities:



Build Qioptiq sales process to effectively drive leads into profitable sales.  Develop & integrate key functions of Marketing, Inside/Outside Sales, Account Management and Customer Service.  Leverage resources to achieve department budget goals.

Analyze customers, markets and distribution channels; prioritize opportunities to maximize profits.

Assess, train and develop Sales & Marketing staff to facilitate customer-focused performance. 

Contribute in hands-on manner to forecasting, quotations, pricing, product training, trade shows, business development, and communication.

Utilize market feedback to guide new product development; match organization’s core technical competencies to market demands.

Support cultural change promoting teamwork, communication, professionalism, employee development, and continuous improvement.Qualities:

15+ years sales and management experience in related industry

4-year degree in optics or related technical discipline, or equivalent industrial experience

Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-disciplinary environment

Superior interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

Working knowledge of MS Windows, Office Suite and Outlook software
