Distribution Center Manager

Responsible for the coordinating and managing of the daily operation of a multiple shift - continuous operation distribution center which includes receiving, inventory control, shipping of finished good, maintain inventory accuracy and budgeting.Key Responsibilities: Maintains a safe work environment through OSHA compliance and safety training.  Motivates a productive work force and recommends improvement strategies to supervisors. Trains and develops supervisors as well as hourly and salaried employees. Monitors all current procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness. Coordinates route shipments and complete forwarding documents. Completes load packets for freight company.  Researches carrier questions and provides instruction for shipping staff. Ensures proper handling of special orders.  Handles labor relations as required.
