Distribution Technician (2nd & 3rd shifts)

DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the Team Manager, the candidate is responsible for picking/packing/shipping all customer orders in a timely (measured through Labor Management System-LMS) and accurate manner while operating material handling equipment (transporter, forklift, etc). The candidate is also responsible for accurate input and provides customers with specific documentation and special services as needed. Other responsibilities include assisting in general warehouse duties including loading, unloading, put-aways, line-replenishment, wrapping and push-offs. Other duties include filling “shorted” orders, co-label order selection, export order selection and assisting with inventory. The candidate also participates in Team Meetings and completes special projects assigned. Incumbent is subject to temperature extremes. Extensive overtime on short notice is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Order selection, warehouse, warehouser, stock selection, and inventory experience required - minimum 2 years experience
- Accurate clerical and numerical skills (will be tested).
- Ability to read, interpret and follow complex procedures.
- Ability to operate forklift equipment.
- Ability to handle a variety of equipment, including battery changes, push-off machine, wrapper, pallet dispenser, and pallet flipper.
- Ability to work in an environment where performance against specific standards is constantly measured.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work overtime frequent or on short notice.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a continuous basis.
- PC experience desired.
