District Sales Manager - Midwest/Southern Regions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

q Plans and manages the sales effort for his/her area.

q Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.

q Maintains contact with all accounts within his/her jurisdiction.

q Maintains contact with all major potential accounts within his/her jurisdiction.

q Confers with general sales management, participating in the development of marketing policy, recommending product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.

q Assists and collaborates with sales staff members in sales promotions, market research, in planning and executing special projects and programs.

q Works closely with manufacturing and purchasing in establishing efficient and profitable scheduling within the framework of customer requirements.

q Prepares annual and quarterly sales forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential and in the preparation of sales expense estimates for his/her region.

q Prepares special and regular sales reports.

q Maintains contact with local representatives of domestic and foreign steel mills and trading companies.

q Provides sales intelligence on all competitive activities in the area.ORGANIZITONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Outside Organization: Customers, Vendors

REQUIRMENTS: Frequent Travel, Knowledge of the Metals/Coil Coating industry a plus.
