District Sales Manager - Northeast Sales

Position Summary:

 

Strategically develop a plan to increase sales at current and new accounts that are aligned with Sumitomo's corporate strategy for growth.  Develop new business through sales calls in a specific geographic area, and training to demonstrate the value associated with Sumitomo products with OEM's, Distribution, Users, and Consultants.    

  

 

Essential Functions:

 Increase sales activity in the district via sales calls and other promotional activities, including:  Distributor training, technical presentations, submit proposals, market research tools (Selectory). Follow up on sales activities, e.g., quotes, deliveries, and returns.Time management assessment - scheduling, e-mail, voice mail, reports.30% – 40 % travel required.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 ·  Associates or Bachelor Degree in Business or technical area of study.·  Outside sales experience, preferably industrial sales. ·  Computer skills, ability to plan and work independently, and an understanding of the channels in which we do business.

 

Desired Qualifications:

 3 to 4 years experience in the mechanical power transmission market is a plus.
