The division analyst job exists to provide accounting and analytical services to the Iron Producing, Accounting and Purchasing Departments.

This job includes the following responsibilities:

· Provide cost information as well as provide analytical support to various levels of management and supporting operational departments.

-  Acquire key input variables from the responsible operating / maintenance supervision and aid in establishing monthly Interim Cost Forecasts through analysis of key variables.

-  Prepare monthly Business Review Cost Package and review results with various levels of management in assigned operating division and Accounting department.

-  Responsible for recording and maintaining the accuracy of raw material inventory transcripts for the Blast Furnaces and Sinter Plant facilities.

-  Use cost and systems expertise to evaluate the profitability and / or cost impact of various operational changes and decisions.

-  Interface with various levels of management and clerical staff to maintain the accuracy of closing, raw material inventories and spending data

· Duties include:

-  Preparation of necessary information and analytical functions in support of the financial closing process.

-  Plan, organize and maintain all files on cost closing, reconciliations to AOP / Forecasts and analytical projects.

-  Lead and monitor cost reduction efforts.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum/Basic Requirements:
3 years experience in accounting/finance in a manufacturing industry.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Blast Furnaces, prior experience in the steel industry or heavy manufacturing.
