EDI Coordinator

 

Diamond Foods, Inc (DBA Diamond of California), seeks an EDI Coordinator.  Diamond is a $ 600M branded Food Company and leading domestic and international marketer of culinary and snack nuts, with operations in California and Indiana.

 

The candidate must be self-directed, very creative, have strong communication skills, and proven ability to follow through on projects and tasks. Must be able to provide a high level of customer service as well as to handle many support applications.

 QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrated expertise with EDI mapping and troubleshooting Experience working with trading partners, I.T. staff, and VAN to locate and quickly resolve any problems. Demonstrated reliability in monitoring all daily logs and processes to ensure proper and timely data transmissions. Skill in setting up and implementing new transactions as needed. Skill in upgrading software on production-level applications, with appropriate test and quality procedures. Ability to set up and maintain trading partner data in Gentran and in J.D. Edwards software. Ability to create and maintain jobs (CL’s) for executing the programs and maps needed to process both inbound and outbound EDI transmissions. 

 

Requirements:2 year college degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired. Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook Strong analytical, written and verbal communications skills Strong research and project management skills Must be able to provide a high level of customer service. Monitor the day-to-day electronic receipt of information from trading partners and the electronic transmission of information to trading partners to ensure hat all data has been sent and received. Map information from J.D. Edwards tables to the EDI standard format. Map the EDI standard information into J.D. Edwards tables. Work with trading partners to correct information that is being transmitted to us incorrectly. Work with trading partners to implement new EDI transactions. Work with trading partners to upgrade existing EDI transactions to new EDI standards. Answer questions from our customer service department on why received EDI information was not processed when it is received with an error. Create/maintain trading partner information in the Gentran software. Create/maintain the information that is necessary in the J.D. Edwards tables to do EDI with another company. Work with the VAN to resolve problems in receiving/transmitting information. Upgrade the EDI standards in Gentran when necessary.
