Description:Develop technical solutions to highly complex problems. With the assistance of the Application Marketing Engineers, exercise considerable latitude in determining both the technical and commercial objectives of assignments. With the assistance of the Application Marketing Engineers, manage the sales/channel/brand relations in the region. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual and performance reports. Prepare and present and follow-up sales proposals. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports and performance reports. Manage product/program launches and promotions. Negotiate contracts favorable to the company.Essential Functions:- Active and integral part of the Drive Center team.- Participate in scheduling and order review meeting.- Develop, grow, and maintain orders and the margin of those orders for the Drive Center.- Work with the matrix management team responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of orders entered.- Operate harmoniously within the guidelines with all Rockwell Automation individuals, other businesses, channel, and customers.Applications:- Create sales proposals for application matched drive solutions, drive upgrades, and coordinated drive system opportunities. Present and close proposals working with Application Marketing Engineer, Rockwell Automation sales, channel, and customers.- Technical expert on Rockwell Automation products and services. Ability to apply application knowledge to solve customer problems and opportunities.- Provides timely responses to customers, sales, and channel inquiries/requests for information, price and delivery.Marketing:- Participate in regional sales promotions, product fairs, and program launches when Drive Center business is involved and will benefit from this participation.- Promote the Drive Center capabilities, programs, and products to Rockwell Automation field sales and customers.- Visit and assist sales on customer visits- Participate in the development of the Drive Center application and product programs.- Responsible for the communication to the matrix management team and upper management on business condition in assigned area. This includes monthly and year-end status reports.- Assist Application Marketing Engineers in efforts to develop and maintain an annual Drive Center Marketing plan for region of responsibility.- Assist in maintaining an order entry log and quote log at the Drive Centers.Leadership:- Provide leadership in growing the drive systems business in the region of responsibility.Business:- Complies with company and governmental policies and procedures.- Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.Qualifications:Education: Typically requires a BS in Engineering and at least 2-4 year of related experience with experience in low voltage drives and drive systems.Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceRockwell Automation offers a competitive benefit plan.
