Description:SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION: This position requires an individual with strong organizational and people skills. This individual will work as part of a department that specializes in providing installation services to customers. Services range from the supply of electrical installation drawings, various forms of customer assistance, installation work, and consulting. This will include the overall project management of many projects at any given time. This individual will also work closely with the Engineering and Marketing staffs of the Drive Systems Business Unit. Manage projects that have a yearly revenue responsibility of .5-1.0 million dollars. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: Functional Expertise Generate proposals for installation services. This includes estimating hours, resource requirements, revenue and margin. Perform field audits of existing drive and control systems. This includes documenting the results with sketches, technical data and meeting notes. Prepare request for quotations for presentation to possible Rockwell Automation sub-contractors. This includes visiting the potential installation firms. Receive and review purchase orders. The review of the terms and conditions will be done with assistance from the legal team. Simultaneous project management of several installations. This includes: developing a project plan in Microsoft project preparing the site team to execute the plan reviewing updates from sites tracking project status provide guidance to the site manager/leader to keep projects on track managing changes in scope handling final negotiations to close projects resolve receivables managing sub-contractors supplying drafting, engineering and installation labor. Develop electrical installation drawings. Supply on-site installation contractor assistance. Interface with customers electrical and mechanical staff. Leadership/Change: Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures. Interpersonal: Provide the required commercial support to the Drive Systems Marketing group in their efforts to secure drive systems installation projects. This includes customer presentations, participating in final negotiations and providing input to the decision process of accepting an order. Business: Ensures thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct, and trains and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures. Review project status on installation activities such as percent complete, revenue, margin, proposals generated, orders received and orders lost.Qualifications:BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Engineering and 8+ years experience; --Ability to use or learn Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and AutoCad 14.--Demonstrated financial aptitude, excellent commercial and people skills.
