The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will insure that multiple facilities comply with federal, state, local, OSHA and company safety, health and environmental regulations. This role will monitor compliance issues relating to occupational safety, accident prevention, implementation and review of Company safety process.

 

Responsibilities:

 Creation and implementation of safety training programs.Review high risk process and assess adequacy of existing process.Reinforce behavioral safety at the floor level.Create and maintain safety metrics.Interface with outside vendors.Act as a liaison for production/maintenance to execute safety related projects.Coordinate scheduling and delivering all safety related topics across three shifts including: New hire orientation training, Forklift training and certification, HazCom, Lock-out-Tag-out, etc.Design safety programs in a Process Flow Diagram with Work Instructions using our Continuous Improvement Model.Represent company for audit purposes.Train the Trainer.Workers Compensation investigation.3rd party administration.Workers Compensation claims and hearings.Knowledge OSHA compliance.Knowledge of ISO regulations.Manufacturing, Warehouse and Supply Chain exp. a plus.Knowledge of TQM, Six Sigma and/or Lean.Posses excellent presentation and communication skills.

Requirements:

 5+ years experience.Training certificates required for the control and handling of regulated hazardous materials and for the management of hazardous and toxic materials.MSDSHaz-MatCertification to perform fork-lift training.
