EPI Development Engineen

The Epi Development Engineer is responsible for the internal management of specification, qualification, data analysis, and characterization of engineering development epi wafers used to develop high brightness Light Emitting Diodes.

·  Own the internal process flow and inventory management of all engineering development epi wafers that come from different epi sources

·  Manage custom epi wafers for engineering wafer start requests, for epi evaluation and qualification, for engineering program needs, process development, and prototype/pilot builds, etc

·  Build qualification plan for epi wafers, shepherd qualification process, and generate qualification reports

·  Prepare engineering reports for epi characterization and/or data analysis, for internal and external communications, per request of engineering staff

· Support documentation for epi developments, epi specifications, trouble shooting, and external supplier communications

 

Minimum Qualification Required:

 

·  BS with 0-5 years experience in a suitable engineering or scientific discipline (i.e. materials science, electrical/mechanical engineering, or physics)

·  Good understanding of basic semiconductor materials and devices in general, and semiconductor epitaxial growth in particular, either from course work or lab experience

·  Strong data analysis skills dealing with database scripting and reporting

·  Familiarity with data reduction and error analysis of experimental data

·  Sophisticated in MS Office software such as PowerPoint, to generate high quality reports

· Basic project management skills

Additional Desired Qualification / Experience:

·  Experience using JMP, Excel pivot table, or other statistical software

·  Strong background in statistical analysis and Information Systems will be a plus

· Experience in epi material characterization and analysis will be a plus
