EQUIPMENT REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

 

High volume, large-format printing company near downtown Denver is looking for the best Equipment Repair and Maintenance Technician in Denver.  We’re not looking for someone who needs to be trained in the basics (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and electronics).  You should already know all of that!  You also should know if you can handle the diversity and stress that comes with facilities and equipment maintenance.

 

The Successful Candidate:

¨  Is someone who cares!  This person will approach every job as if s/he is fixing equipment in their own home;

¨  Understands the fastest and easiest way to accomplish tasks in the most cost effective and professional manner;

¨  Is self-sufficient and holds him/herself accountable for accuracy and timely installations and repairs;

¨  Responds to inquiries and requests from managers and employees in a positive and polite “can do” manner.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

¨  Assist in the installation and maintenance of all mechanical and electronic equipment including computers/networking in all Company facilities;

¨  Follows maintenance schedules for and conducts maintenance on all building and operating equipment to assure each machine performs at peak output;

¨  Maintains a log of open/resolved maintenance problems;

¨  Resolves software and hardware problems, either personally or through an outside source, on equipment located at all Company locations, including computerized tracking equipment;

¨  Carries out safety policies for correct and consistent equipment operation, and assists in conducting regularly scheduled safety training on all equipment;

¨  Maintains a clean and orderly workspace, and assures that the Company building and equipment present an overall professional appearance.

¨  Carries out all maintenance responsibilities as assigned by Facilities and Equipment Manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:A minimum of two years repair/maintenance experience within a manufacturing facility is preferred.Requires outstanding mechanical, electrical, carpentry and electronics skills (plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic skills would also be helpful) working with sophisticated hi-tech computer-driven machinery.Must be very computer literate.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires at least a high school diploma and a technical or trade school education.

 

A history of long-term employment will be favorably considered.
