Electrical Designer
· Creates schematics.
· Specifies components.
· Generates Bills of Materials.
· Documents the project with “as built” drawings, as required.
· Provides technical support for fabrication and assembly as needed.
· Assists Drafters in developing the design of products.
· Prepares and carries out original or adaptations to designs and design changes.
· Prepares sketches and completes detail and layout drawings.
· Makes layouts of components, calculates stack-up of detail components.
· May prepare supporting documentation.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; and two to four years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses or other Registrations

Tools, Technology and Equipment
· Ability to use CAD software required.
· Ability to use MRP systems preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, governmental regulation and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
