Electrical Engineer/ Senior Technician

This growing institutional food services equipment company is looking for a qualified electrical engineer or senior technician with strong wiring, panel design and electrical standards knowledge.  Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Electrical Engineer will perform some design and engineering work requiring application of standard electrical techniques, procedures and criteria, in carrying out a sequence of related electrical engineering tasks.  Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment, usually under the direction of the Manager.  He/ she will apply U.L. standards and appropriate regulations to equipment design. Job Responsibilities·  Conducts electrical design engineering activities of moderate scope or difficulty under limited supervision from the Engineering Manager·  Plans, tests, and evaluates test results. Generates regulatory related documentation for different equipments·  Creates documentation associated with electrical engineering activities including drawings, part/ component specifications, design, verification test protocols/ reports, and various new and revised operation procedures·  Works with CAD designers to develop drawings·  Writes test protocols and test reports for design validation ·  Ensures that all designs are properly documented in compliance with all appropriate Quality Standards, ISO and Design Control Specifications, Regulatory Compliances·  Participates on product development project teams; works with product electrical aspects·  Assists/ participates in the development of prototypes and models·  Interacts with Quality Assurance to resolve reliability and quality issues early in the process and ensure adequacy of testing Job Requirements·  B.S. Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years experience, or A.S. EE (or related) Degree with equivalent experience ·  Must know wiring and electrical codes (NEC, NSF, etc.) and their application·  Prior working experience with capital equipment assembly and wiring ·  Intermediate skill level on MS Word and Excel·  Ability to exercise judgment in making preliminary selections/ adaptations of engineering alternatives·  Knowledge/ skill in engineering documentation procedures and development methods·  Strong verbal & written communication skills ·  Proven ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization·  Must possess high degree of organizational skills and be a self-starter·  Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment·  Ability to plan and prioritize activities·  Must be able to work with appropriate equipment regulatory agencies Interested candidates should submit a resume (in Word format) to steve.hart@hartandhartinc.com .  MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
