Electrical Engineer - Temp or Contract

Optivus is currently looking for an individual to join our team of professionals and assist us with our mission of saving lives through Proton Beam Therapy, using their skills and experience as a Temporary Electrical Engineer estimated duration is 3-6 months. Consultants welcome. LOCAL candidates only, relocation unavailable.

Summary:
This position requires excellent skills in the areas of design, test, and written as well as verbal communications. The ability to take a complete complex tasks on schedule with moderate supervision is required. A high degree of self-motivation, the ability to learn new skills and derive creative solutions with minimal formal training, are essential.

Duties:
· Design, Test, Integration, and Installation.
- Execute design, test, integration, and installation assignments in accordance with project team objectives and requirements.
- Coordinate assignments with the other project team members (including the team leader, mechanical, electrical, field service, and software engineers, technical writers and technologists).
- Document in accordance with Optivus standards.
· Support New Business Acquisition Activities.
- Translation of customer needs and requirements into technical requirement specifications.
- Derivation of development plans and Statements of Work for meeting the technical requirements.
- Estimation of project development costs, and schedules. Document supporting rationale.
- Proposal preparation and editing.

Qualifications:
· Highly developed planning and organizational skills are required.
· Demonstrated abilities in analog and/or digital design from conceptual stages through manufacturing are required.
· Experience with PCB design is desired.
· The ideal candidate will also have experience using high end EDA tools (VeriBest) along with Matlab, Mathmatica and MathCad.
· The successful candidate must have excellent writing and organizational skills and be able to efficiently document every state of a project.
· BSEE required.
