Develop professional working relationship to interact with test cell operators and lab supervisors to accomplish tasks and work through obstacles. Review data to confirm accuracy before resources are spent on creation of a large quantity of inaccurate information; monitor development activities being watchful for expected results. Adapt to changes in a timely and efficient manner. Analyze data, create and present summary and bring recommended conclusion or course of action in a timely fashion. Provide timely documentation of results and conclusions. Create a test plan that will appropriately evaluate the engine. Provide communication with Controls, Aftertreatment, and Applications Engineering when appropriate. Contribute to component development (fuel system, turbo, EGR valve/venturi etc.) including specification development and supplier interaction. Support and guidance for vehicle testing and interaction with application engineers, when required. Contribute to discussion of potential concepts to meet future emissions regulations. Education  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience. Master's degree, or additional classes in thermo, fluids, heat transfer, combustion, engine performance, theory, or design desirable. Required Skills and Experience  Experience with diesel engines, subsystems, and individual component development and qualification. Proficiency in the use of engine test lab equipment, data acquisition, and data analysis tools. Ability to manage support of the activities in performance and emissions dynos given general direction on test purpose. Knowledge of electronic engine control systems and demonstrated proficiency in the use of controller development tools and calibration techniques.   Desired Skills and Experience  Knowledge of  ECU and EGR engine controls.
