Engineer/Maintenance Technician

Cameron’s Coffee Company, is seeking a full time Engineer/Maintenance Technician. Cameron’s is starting up a new roasting facility that will receive, roast, package, and ship premium coffee. We will need this person to assist in the planning and execution of a Greenfield facility start-up. This person will directly assist the operations with ongoing projects, validations and qualification as well as lend support to the manufacturing department on training of manufacturing procedures. In addition to being an individual contributor, this person will also be asked to act in a leadership capacity by giving guidance and direction. This person will be expected to interact and coordinate activities per Cameron’s Quality Systems and adhere to FDA, MDA, GMP and ISO regulations.

Cameron’s Coffee is a premium coffee roaster that will be headquartered in Shakopee, Minnesota. Currently, the company headquarters are in Eden Prairie, MN.

The main job duties/responsibilities are as follows:Perform equipment installations, operations, and process qualifications Troubleshoot and perform equipment repair and maintenanceRun process validation protocols Revise and redline existing documentation and complete document change request forms Develop and maintain label documents and databases Willingness to champion other activities as requested by operations, engineers and Cameron’s leadersRecommend process improvements Employees are responsible for maintaining an awareness of workplace safety and maintaining an awareness of training or education that will assist them in improving needed areas of their present job performance Read and troubleshoot electrical drawings and building blueprintsGiving and providing leadership guidance to plant personnelOther duties as assigned

 Qualifications/Preferred Experience: Preferably a college degree and/or  associates degree or in the process of attaining one Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills Experience working with form, fill and seal packaging and coffee roasting equipment a plusExperience working with and programming PLC equipment a plusBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office software Familiar with 3-D CAD programs (Solid Works, Pro E) Previous technical writing experience with test plans and test reports Coffee Industry experience is a plus Attention to detail and understanding of traceability Ability to work in a team environment Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift 25 pounds

 Compensation /Benefits: Full time salaried. $50,000-$63,000 / yr depending on experience and qualifications. Great benefits package includes; Health, Dental and Life Insurance, Short Term Disability and 401K match.
