SUMMARY:Intensely focused on steadily improving our process performance, design and quality. Represents the Quality and Client Services function in new process development projects, supporting Engineering in the development of robust and reliable Business Continuity solutions.Closely monitors new projects for customer satisfaction, acceptance and opportunities to improve design, production, and shipment process. Tracks internal process performance and works to install effective process controls. Steadily reduce defect levels and quality loss. Ensures that effective corrective action is taken to eliminate the root causes of systemic problems in design and production. Works closely as team-member and team-lead on test measurement system with engineering for current and new process design. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Applies expert knowledge of operational procedures (material workflow, job level and piece level tracking, capacity planning, etc.) and quality principles (process mapping, Six Sigma analysis, statistical methods, narrative and graphical presentation of data) to conduct a thorough analysis of customer operational processes.Designs, manages, executes, and reports on selected customer business continuity projects.Establishes and manages project plans, coordinating efforts among various resources within and outside the organization.Manages project scope, timelines, resources, cost, quality, risk, communication, and integration.Identifies and establishes a project team whose members have the demonstrated expertise to conduct all aspects of the assessment project.Defines and communicates project goals to the team, customer, and executive sponsors. Establishes accountabilities and priorities.Supports and facilitates regular project planning review sessions with the project team and the customer.Review equipment installation reports for problems associated with product design, assembly and test. Assume primary responsibility for long-term internal corrective action by documenting the issues and addressing such problems with Manufacturing, Engineering and Service. Monitor equipment installations and assume primary responsibility for quickly addressing product acceptance issues relative to quality matters with Service, Engineering and Manufacturing, as required, to correct the situation and achieve customer acceptance of the new system. Take internal action necessary to prevent recurrence of acceptance issues.Support Engineering in the development of robust, reliable and maintainable products by:o helping with application of DFSS methods (QFD, DOE, capability studies, accelerated life tests) during product design;o participating in design and redesign of products utilizing Lean Design practices;o facilitating or participating in Failure Mode & Effect Analyses;Support new product development and integration of APQP concepts and practices as a contributing member of the project team. Ensure that project deliverables related to product quality planning are completed satisfactorily. Participate in SIT/SAT planning and execution and monitor open-corrective-action ticket activity throughout the project to ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues. As new products enter the General Availability phase, closely monitor early installations for early life part failures, service events, customer satisfaction levels, machine efficiency, open-corrective-action tickets, etc., in support of the Quality Review milestone of the Product Life Cycle.Perform independent review of problem situations and lead efforts to resolve same. Provide subject matter expertise in the application of quality tools and the problem-solving process in Engineering and Manufacturing, including training employees in tools and methods, as appropriate, creating policies and procedures to ensure consist methodology is used and perform audits on same for metric analysis.Maintain product quality metrics to enable data-based decision making and internal improvement. Analyze NCM records, equipment logbooks and verification records to spot trends or repeat problems that indicate a systemic problem. Assume primary responsibility for identifying the root cause and taking effective long-term corrective action to reduce defect levels and associated quality loss, improve order execution, and respond to customer expressions of dissatisfaction.Maintain technical and professional knowledge by attending educational seminars, reviewing professional and technical publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Be able to travel to off-site locations approximately 15% of the time for training, customer visits and team networking. Education, Experience, and KnowledgeB.S. in a technical field with 6 - 8 years of Quality Assurance experience and/or Industrial Engineering experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment, preferably with capital equipment products Proven customer interaction experience strongly desiredMailroom and / or card fulfillment operations experience preferredWorking knowledge of product design assurance (e.g., Advanced Product Quality Planning, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Reliability / Maintainability Engineering) methodsFormal Six Sigma training Inspection and test experienceDemonstrable working knowledge of Lean DesignUnderstanding of information security management RESPOND HERE!
