Engineer, Senior Product Development

Responsible for development of New Optical Fiber Cable Products, for indoor and outdoor environments, from initiation through qualification and transfer to production

Plan and execute fiber optic cable development projects using state of the art project

management methods and tools

 

Lead the development, interpretation, refinement and implementation of new products,

processes, measurements and/or scientific methods

 

Analyze process data and define actions for improvement

 

Test, refine and implement new materials to meet product, market and/or internal cost demands

 

Supervision of process technicians and plant operators

 

Coordination of staffing, materials and machines to schedule and complete objectives

 

Work with other functional areas such as engineering, production, planning, purchasing, sales

and marketing to coordinate and support development, including transfer of products and processes

 

Provide technical support to functional areas across the company

 

Prepare reports and presentations,as well as, maintain quality records in accordance with

internal procedures

 

Create and protect intellectual property such as records of invention and supplier

non-disclosure agreements
