Maintenance Supervisors are responsible for the performance of steel producing equipment and supervision of the assigned maintenance workforce. The primary function of this job is to continuously improve equipment reliability through best maintenance practices. -Plan, assign and monitor daily work activities. -Administrative duties: scheduling, safety contacts and personnel records. -Engineer/develop projects for new equipment and systems. -Update equipment drawings in the electronic drawing management system. -Troubleshoot equipment failures. -Implement continuous improvement projects aimed at improved reliability. -Maintain equipment history. -Maintain a spare parts inventory. -Maintain, document and track PM programs. -Stay abreast of the latest steel producing technologies. -Monitor/control costs to achieve business plan goals.
