We're looking for college students who are more than half way through their BS degree, Mechanical or Industrial (or equivalent).  Each intern will have a slightly different focus depending on the team they are working with.  All must have proficient computer skills (Word, Excel) and ideally AutoCad.  Company Overview:  Pentair Water (NYSE: PNR8) is a global leader in providing innovative products and systems in the movement, treatment, storage and enjoyment of water.  With 2007 annual revenues of over 3 billion we employ over 16,000 worldwide. www.pentairwater.com   The North Aurora Operation’s facility designs manufactures and distributes industrial water pumps into the commercial, HVAC and fire pump markets.  We are conveniently located just off I-88 / 31 in North Aurora, IL (about one hour west of the city of Chicago) and employ approximately 220 people between the office and production.  Interns that join us for the summer will be exposed to a wide variety of projects with our production and engineering teams. www.pentairpump.com / www.aurorapump.com   Packaged Water Systems Engineering Internship · Must be in pursuit of a Mechanical engineering degree. The position will require a-cad and solid works knowledge, supporting the engineering team that designs and develops water systems that are sold and installed in large commercial applications.    Value Engineering Internship Provide support for existing value engineering activities.  Work with engineering team to creatd data acquisition modules with SQL storage.  Focus on improving our products through identifying cost savings opportunities.  Must be proficient in MS Office, have SQL server experience, programming in VB required.  Experience with LabView and programming in VB, VC++ is a plus.    Manufacturing Engineering Internship · This position will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering department and the Custom Machine Shop to update machine routings and production cycle times.  In addition, work closely with operators and supervisors to create and document standard work guides used in training and process improvement for daily work.  Skill Set:  Working toward a B.S. degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering.
