Engineering Project Manager

 Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this position plans, directs, coordinates and designs products for the R&D department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.   2.0 Job Responsibilities: 1. Motivation of all employees to maximize individual contribution to objectives.2. Work with vendors to obtain and design with the most current technologies available.3. Work with vendors to foresee parts obsolescence problems and suggest and/or design solutions.4. Write, review, and amend specifications for products as needed.5. Define, execute and manage project schedules and tasks throughout project.5. Support product as outlined in the specification with safety, functionality, and cost objectives in focus.6. Manage projects to deliver finished product by scheduled dates.7. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.8. Up to 15% travel for trade show, project research, and product implementation.9. Review and recommend change to all systems, policies, and procedures as needed to enhance the mission of the organization.10. Review and development of employees. 3.0 Job Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.2. Seven to Ten years of experience in a Research and Development / Engineering environment.3. Two to five years experience in a supervisory position.4. Good communication, presentation and problem solving skills. 4.0 Physical Demands: 1.
