KLA-Tencor is looking for a Responsible SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEER for designing, defining, and implementing system requirements for complex customer systems and/or preparing studies and analyzing existing systems. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Some travel is required for field and other program support.





 

Qualifications/Education Desired



BS required (MS or Ph.D. preferred) in Physics, Electronics, Optics, or related technical field. Hands-on experience designing, building, operating, and/or troubleshooting complex instruments, such as experimental research instruments, medical systems, or semiconductor capital equipment. Knowledge of optics, electronics, software, and/or mechanical systems. Strong analytic and data analysis skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including asking good questions and providing clear technical explanations. Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and to take a leadership role when needed. Quick grasp of challenging, complex technical information. Natural curiosity, inventiveness, and a love of making things work better





 

Basic Qualifications



Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience. OR Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience. OR Doctorate (Academic)
