Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

The ESAB Group, Inc. is the wholly owned subsidiary of Anderson Group Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.nImplement components of EH&SMS ensuring compliance of EHS requirements encompassing ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and all legislation nResponsible for ensuring the compliance of all employees, equipment, and facilities with the safety standards of AGI and regulatory agencies.  This includes the interpretation of EHS governmental regulations, and complying with all reporting requirements. nCompilation of site EHS reports. nOversee incident investigation process and assist in the implementation of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of accidents and/or injuries.  Implementation of the SAFETY Alert system used to share incident information and corrective actions with all locations. nManage locations for property and fire safety inspections with local personnel and insurance company to verify continuity between company SOP’s and practical applications to ensure a safe work environment.  Coordinate loss prevention activities at the site level to ensure business continuity and reduce insurance premiums. nCollaborates with Human Resources to ensure all workers compensation claims and return to work programs are managed properly  nDevelop training materials for use at the site level and deliver training as necessary to ensure compliance. nCoordinate industrial hygiene projects to assess workplace exposures to chemicals, noise, and heat.  Ensure employee exposure’s are below OSHA-PEL’s. nOrganize, direct staffing, and facilitate monthly safety committee meeting.  Review meeting minutes to ensure items brought up are being addressed. nDevelop budgets at the site level for EHS expenditures to track costs. nEstablish and track metrics that are leading indicators of safety performance including training, inspections, compliance, and employee participation. nCoordinate and/or perform the following:  OSHA recordkeeping, identification of required training, training material preparation, environmental reporting, identification of required inspections, safety committee management, development of EHS programs & policies, and industrial hygiene surveys. nDevelop local goals, key activities, actions and supporting annual EHS Plan nIdentify, develop and deploy all applicable Level III Practices and Procedures as they correlate to facility and North American Level II objectives
