Environmental Safety & Health Coordinator

Currently we are expanding our team to include an Environmental Safety & Health Coordinator to work with personnel throughout the organization to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Summary
The Environmental Safety & Health Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of implementing, facilitation and maintaining an environmental safety and health program in accordance with local, state and national codes or the authority having jurisdiction. This position will monitor facility and processes for adherence to OSHA guidelines and the elimination of industrial accidents. They will review, evaluate and analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical and biological agents or ergonomic factors. This position may also conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals in local and satellite facilities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:Responsible for the daily activities associated with an environmental safety and health program, including but not limited to: Creating, revising and maintaining, as necessary, policies, procedures and work instructions associated with the ES&H program. Maintaing training records and performing in-house training, as applicable, for all Busch LLC employees. Performing, at a minimum, daily walk-through of faciity to ensure all aspects of the ES&H program are adhered to. Notify direct supervisor/manager or applicable management representative of any violations associated with the ES&H program.Facilitate management level safety meetings. Assist in facilitating employee run safety program. Create and maintain, as necessary, all associated ES&H reports to any and all authorities having jurisdiction. Facilitate the accident/incident/near-miss program and create, modify or revise documents, policies and procedures necessary as a result of investigations. Assist the Human Resources Department with any applicable aspects of the workers' compensation pgoram. Report to the President of Busch LLC, as necessary or directed, the effectiveness of the ES&H pogram.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information respond to questions from groups of managers clients, customers and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, estalbish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of techincal instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concret variables. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphs, etc. Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments as necessary.
Required Qualifications, Training and Experience include:Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmetnal Safety and Health from a four year college or university; or at least five years related experience and equivalent level of education.
Physical/Environmental Demands include:Must be able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hand and arms, talk and hear over 2/3 of the time. Must be able to sit, climb or balance under 1/3 of the time. May be exposed to dust on occasion. May have to climb safety ladders to retrieve material in shelves. Must have clear close vision at 20 inches or less for working on computer and clear distance vision at 20 feet or more.
Physical Activity Level:Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of productive/technical nature.
Work Environment:Moderate noise, temperature and humidity.
Work Schedule:Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. May have to work past 4:30 pm daily in order to ensure all work is complete. Not often, but may have to work on weekends to complete particular projects.
Travel:Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
