FA Test Engineer

Purpose: Within Operations, designs, develops, implements and maintains cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment. Principle Accountabilities: Guide FA technicians in performing FA case tasks driving to root cause Design specific tests to replicate FA case failure modes as reported and isolate noted faults Training and assigning tasks to FA technicians, ensuring that proper test and debug techniques are executed Equipment Maintenance Documentation of test procedures Quality of tests and test procedures Create product testing at the system level Network system testing and troubleshooting Receives broad direction test creation and maintenance Duplication of customer environment and product failure mode Quality of reports of findings during test creation for specific cases Provides direction to technicians regarding test procedures and equipment maintenance Initiate communication with case creators in order to gather more information regarding case failure event Collaborate with software engineers, hardware designers, ASIC designers, diagnostic engineers, and NPIEs Engage NPIE, Design Engineers, SW Engineers, Diagnostic engineers, component vendors, quality engineers and case creators to pursue information and knowledge to drive cases to closure Typically requires a BS EE/Computer Engineering / SW Engineering or equivalent experience and training. Master's Degree preferred Typically requires 5 years experience in developing, implementing, deploying test strategies, test plans, and test processesor.
