These innovative production solutions are designed for the manufacture of highly intricate chips with exceptional performance, making components faster, smaller, with higher package densities and lower power consumption.
Oerlikon USA, Inc., Wafer Processing is currently in need of an experienced Field Service Engineer II.
SUMMARY:
Provides comprehensive service on assigned equipment maintaining high customer satisfaction, timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, commission, and maintain products at user’s site.
Perform modifications or retrofits as needed.
Maintain complete and detailed knowledge of assigned products and applications.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and calibrate products via telephone or at user’s site.
Provide training for customers and others in the effective operation, calibration, and maintenance of products.
Maintain accurate records and issue complete and timely reports on equipment operations.
Responsible for corporate toolbox.
Provide support for trade shows and laboratory as needed.
Accumulate histories of equipment performance, commercial relationships, and commercial opportunities.
Maintain contact with Field Service Operations Supervisor to facilitate effective scheduling.

QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree from four-year college or technical school, preferred
Five to Seven years related experience,
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, major credit card (for business travel), and passport.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret technical journals and reports.
Ability to compile reports and compose routine correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, and respond to common inquires, complaints, and requests.
Ability to effectively deal with angry customers and negative situations.
Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to travel extensively to support customer needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed at individual customer sites.
The incumbent is routinely required to sit, stand, walk, touch, see, and hear.
The incumbent must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the regular duties of the position, the incumbent may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The incumbent must be able to wear safety equipment and follow safety instructions.
