Job ID: 13567Position Description:Manage all financial decision support requirements for the GIS Product Management/Merchandising teams. This role is responsible for providing decision support, financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and other project support. Will provide financial insight to optimize the Supply Chain total cost of procurement & operations.•Manage the financial analyses of all major product line reviews. Provide financial insight on Economic Earnings impact of supplier proposals and final supplier selections. Select line reviews for follow up audits to ensure results are on target. Update senior management with results of audits and recommended actions if projects fail to meet expected return.•Lead and manage the achievement of product management cost savings programs. •Lead the development of the Annual Plan and forecasts of Sales and GP for the product categories. Prepare forecasts for the $3.0B Gross Profit plan, including price and cost inflation, supplier funding and rebates, and line review impact. Manage the $60M expense budget, including the $30M catalog plan. •Provide actionable reporting and measurements that enable the Product Management teams to deliver upon their financial and strategic goals. Ensure reporting is timely and accurate.•Lead the development and utilization of the product profitability financial models. Analyze Economic Earnings trends and recommend improvements to Senior Management. •Ensure that processes and measurements are in place to monitor product life cycle and inventory levels of discontinued inventory. •Assess the adequacy of internal controls in Product Management processes. •Provide leadership direction and coaching to direct reports and provide constructive feedback to help develop team into a high performance organizationPosition Requirements:•Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent •MBA or CPA preferred.•Ten years in progressive financial roles and previous management/ supervisory experience. •Finance experience in managing product margins, supplier relationships and product portfolio measurements. •Understanding of GAAP requirements for Cost of Goods Sold.•Broad business knowledge and organizational awareness as well as an understanding of business profitability drivers. •Proven analytic and quantitative decision-making skills required. •Ability to interface effectively with senior staff and line executives. •Influence decision-making processes with Sr. Management. •Balance risk and return of decisions; present unpopular recommendations in order to preserve financial integrity of business.•Strong team skills required as must participate as key member of large business leadership team.Position Attributes:Manage the $3.0B Grainger Industrial Supply Cost of Good Sold plan, including the impacts on product margins, supply chain costs, and the overall profitability of Grainger Industrial Supply. Financial leadership for all Product Management teams, including management of $60M expense budget.. Reports to the Director of Finance, Supply Chain. Interfaces with senior leadership of Supply Chain and Product Management on a regular basis. Interfaces with GIS senior leadership and Grainger Corporate leadership on a periodic basis.
