Financial Analyst / General Accountant

As a result of continued growth and expansion we are looking for a Financial Analyst / General Accountant in our Westford, MA office. This position will report to the Controller.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

- Compiling and analyzing the financial reports generated by the Company.

- Generate, analyze and distribute department reporting (ad hoc and standard) comparing monthly results versus budget/latest estimate with variations explained.

- Assist in preparing annual budget and monthly estimates, working directly with department managers.

- Work with other members of the accounting department to ensure accuracy and to understand financial results.

- Special projects as assigned, and assist other team members where necessary.

- Assist with reconciliations and the month end close where necessary.

- Assist with external financial reporting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

The ideal candidate will possess a BA, BS, or BBA in Finance or Accounting. Other skills include:

 

- Proficient in Excel. 

- Experience with FrX is preferred, but not required.

- 2-3 years of experience (internships included)

- Must be a team player and eager to learn

- Familiar with financial statements and the general ledger.

- Working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and practices.
