Financial Controller

Advanced Forming Technology is offering a unique opportunity for an overseas financial position. We are seeking a Financial Controller for our Hungarian location, AFT Europa. The state of the art manufacturing facility is located in Retsag, Hungary, north of Budapest. We are seeking an individual with fluent Hungarian and English speaking skills as well as in-depth knowledge of the financial business practices of both countries. Hungarian citizenship is preferred for this position.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the AFTE Financial Manager in Retsag, Hungary, the individual in this role assists in meeting reporting and financial schedules which support the growth, revenues and profits of the business. The individual in the role will be expected to enhance the strength of the financial management team in order to meet the ambitious goals for the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Financial Reporting

Responsible for managing the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate presentation financial results.  This includes managing the distribution of all internal and external financial reports.

Responsible for timely and accurate analysis of all manufacturing operations, including standard costs, inventory valuation, manufacturing improvements and budget variances. 

Standardize costing and financial operations

Develop process to provide timely analysis and corrective actions to key managers with the objective of maintaining low cost production.

Responsible for all financial analysis (P&L, B/Sheet, Cash Flow) and recommending corrective actions to improve profitability and cash flow. 

Maintain focus on achieving Company objectives.

Responsible for general support of all aspects of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process.


Work with all functional departments to gather reliable information and present results in a flexible model that allows easy and quick changes.

OTHER  RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs special studies and recommends procedure changes for greater efficiency.

Acts as backup for the Financial Manager in his/her absence

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

Directly supervises employees in the Finance Department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS

Accounting Degree with 3-5 year’s experience, including supervision and manufacturing experience.

Working knowledge of VAT, customs and duties regulations and reporting.

Skill in generating and disseminating a variety of financial information to managers.

Fluent in English and Hungarian.

Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.



Knowledge of Hungarian and local accounting and tax related legislation, regulations and reporting procedures
