Financial Reporting Analyst

Location: Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Experience: 2+ to 5 Years       Job Description   Job Description: Tyco International Ltd. is a diversified manufacturing and service company.  At Tyco, our 250,000+ employees are moving forward together, totally dedicated to core values that define how we do business – Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence and Accountability.   We are looking for a Financial Analyst at our Westlock Controls business unit located in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.  This business unit is part of a $2.5 billion division within Tyco International, which is the largest manufacturer of valves, actuators, and associated flow control products in the world. The Financial Analyst will be someone wanting to make an impact within an organization that offers worldwide opportunities and a solid commitment to career development.  This individual will report to the Group Controller, and will primarily be responsible for the following activities: ·  Support the Senior Management’s decision making process by performing real analysis around key business drivers including backlog, revenue, gross margin, SG&A expenses and working capital.  ·  Participate in and support all facets of the annual budget and planning process, helping drive consistency, timeliness, completeness and accuracy. ·  Perform monthly consolidation and analysis of forecast across all parts of the business including manufacturing, sales, and distribution. ·  Prepare monthly and quarterly financial data in a concise and pertinent format to be used by Senior Management for operational reviews. ·  Partner with the rest of the finance organization to help drive centralization of finance functions, and to help institutionalize consistent monthly financial forecasting and analysis. ·  Participate in key business initiatives, prepare “what-if” scenarios on certain business levers, perform benchmarking and other ad-hoc analysis as necessary.  Key Characteristics of Potential Candidates: -   Capacity to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment- Strong technical skills including Excel, Access and Powerpoint.  Hyperion Enterprise a plus-  Solid understanding of US GAAP, financial processes and internal controls-  Ability to convert detailed financial analysis into understandable summaries and recommendations-  Ability to work effectively in a staff role, which requires the ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with divisional finance and operating managers-  High energy and self confidence-  Strong sense of natural curiosity… want to know how it works-  Quick learner, self-motivated, team player-  Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple levels of management and across different functional areas Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco
