Firmware Engineer

Roles include architectural design, modular code design, code documentation, HW/FW integration, production implementation and support in a cross-functional team environment. Candidate may also be responsible for low-level driver development and product quality improvement projects. Candidate will interact with electrical engineers, product design engineers, software developers, and project management to assure that product development priorities are completed on schedule, while ensuring quality and total product performance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- 6+ years of firmware development engineering with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity - Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of microcontroller firmware design, relevant hardware aspects, and control applications - Proven success in product development or sustaining as a member of a cross-functional team - Firmware development experience with 16/32-bit microcontrollers using C and assembly - Experience using microcontroller peripherals such as USB, stepper motor drivers, LED lighting, and video generation - Experience using lab equipment and embedded development tools such as logic analyzers and in-circuit emulators - Experience in design verification and validation, including design reviews, code reviews, and software test plans - Proficiency with version-control software - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering - Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:-  Advanced engineering degree-   Experience with gaming systems, embedded Linux, and standard communication protocols-  Knowledge of stepper-motor control methods and techniques-  Knowledge of LED lighting control methods and techniques-  Knowledge of built-in self-test methods  About Cadillac JackCadillac Jack is a supplier of electronic games and systems for the global gaming market, including Native American, Charitable Gaming, Racino, and the International gaming markets.
