Fleet Manager

Responsible for recruiting & retaining technicians in a transport refrigeration & commercial truck fleet.  There is a responsibility for the organization & collection of paperwork, insuring all paperwork is processed & data inputted accordingly.  The manager will have daily contact w/ technicians, drivers, and vendors.  Will also oversee repair & maintenance of milk coolers, ice cream coolers, and milk dispensers at customer locations and in-house shop. Manage and supervise employees at 3 locations in Austin, Temple & Waco, Texas.  Oversee the maintenance and repairs of approximately 200 commercial trucks and trailers.  Review all paperwork to insure accuracy.  Assist in handling paperwork and other administrative duties.  Respond electronically on a daily basis to emails, invoicing, time reports, worksheets, etc.  Work w/ centralized accounting center to insure correct information is reflected in the system.  Assist w/ problems that may arise in a timely manner.  Prioritize daily work load generated off of breakdowns and D.V.I.R’s.  Keep DOT files on eligible employees. At lease 3 years of hands on Diesel Engine repair, commercial mechanical, technical, and transport refrigeration experience Must have excellent troubleshooting skills At least 1 year of direct management experience including managing people and being accountable for an operation Solid communication skills including written and verbal Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and recall past information Computer literate and have basic intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and working knowledge of an e-mail system Understanding of state and federal DOT requirements and the ability to work toward maintaining a safe, efficient, and cost effectively run fleet.  CDL is preferred Dean Foods Company is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.  M/F/D/V Job Title: Fleet Manager Location: WACO, TX 76704 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Logistics/Transportation Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff)
