Scope of Position:
1. Develop and issue concept and detail design packages to support the melt, process, and installation groups within the CDT Worldwide operation
2. Follow the established drawing standards and Management system when developing designs
3. Provide install and start-up support for expansions, rebuilds and migration of new technology worldwide
4. Support the Forming Reliability program, assist with designs to address equipment reliability issues and migration of new designs to the field
Day to Day Responsibilities:
1. Generate detailed design packages with bill of materials required for fabrication and installations of forming equipment
2. Lead design efforts including fabrication and installation
3. Provide on-site support at suppliers/vendors and plant install
4. Develop and issue design packages
Travel Requirements:
1. International travel required to Japan, Taiwan and Korea
2. Domestic travel required to Harrodsburg, KY plant, vendors and fabricators
3. Travel 20 – 30%
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
1. Work hours 40 hours / week, 5 days / week
2. Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
3. Some overtime required
Required to sign a Covenant Not to Compete
Required Education:
BS Mechanical Engineering
Required Skills:
1. 5 years experience in equipment design and project management in an engineering environment.
2. Autocad & Solidworks 3D
3. Mechanical Design Ability
4. Strong Mechanical/Technical Curiosity
5. Equipment Design Knowledge
6. Detail Oriented
7. Problem Solving Skills
