Job Description: 

 

Robertet Fragrances, Inc., a fragrance manufacturer, is seeking a qualified candidate

for their Fragrance Laboratory Department.  This candidate must hold an Assoc.

and/or B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, or the sciences and/or related experience.

 

Summary: Major Responsibilities

 

The incumbent assists in completing profiles originating from our clients or from internal projects.  Responsibilities include the making of house bases, new product formulations, reformulations of current products for cost savings, improved efficacy or new product claims.  Additionally, this position practices with extreme accuracy test methods and performs the appropriate laboratory evaluations to ensure stability, efficacy and quality of developed products.  Activities include research and development, evaluations, analysis, and experimentation on different products and processes, quantitative and qualitative analysis and improvement of technical methodologies.  The individual will work under direct supervision following prescribed procedures.

 Essential Responsibilities/Challenges

 

The incumbent has limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, concepts and techniques.  The incumbent contributes to the Fragrance Laboratory effort by providing an understanding of chemicals, scientific principles, and laboratory procedures; the development, collection and evaluation of data; and the preparation of reports and samples that lead to the timely completion of profiles.











 

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of senior laboratory personnel such as Chemist, Manager, Director, or equivalent, must be able to perform job functions as assigned with the responsibility and initiative required to contribute to the timely development and completion of laboratory projects.

 

The qualified Laboratory Technician will report to the Oakland, New Jersey Fragrance Laboratory and must be flexible to travel when necessary to the New York Creative Center located in New York City.
