Frame Shop Supervisor

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ø  Supervise manufacture of frames to meet upholstery plant production requirements

Ø  Supervise team of associates in manufacture of frames

Ø  Coordinate production requirements to meet schedule objectives

Ø  Manage department activities to assure timely reporting of inventory and minimize usage of materials

Ø  Assist with purchasing materials required to make frames

Ø  Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Ø  High school degree or equivalent required, two year degree desired

Ø  5 years experience in related furniture manufacturing environment preferred.

 

PC SKILLS

Ø  Knowledge of Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook desired, but not required

Ø  Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings required

Ø  Ability to use CAD desired

 

OTHER SKILLS 

Ø  Ability to interact positively and professionally with customers, employees and vendors

Ø  Ability to communicate with management team on employee issues and ideas for improvements

Ø  Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment

Ø  Passion for customer service-Enthusiasm and energy-organized-professional appearance and demeanor

Ø  Ability to work with little or no supervision
