General Accountant - Manufacturing Field

Our client is a well established manufacturer in the Parsippany, NJ area.  They are seeking a General Accountant to join their accounting department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a growth position as this is on a Controller career track.

Some of your responsibilities:

Will review inventory & WIP transactions and resolve errors reported by system

Develop procedures for Inventory & WIP transactions to improve internal controls

Maintain fixed asset records

Participate in the budgeting process

Reconcile consignment inventories and invoicing as well as  bank reconciliations.

This position will also be a backup for  payroll.

Ideal Qualifications:

BS degree a requirement  (Accounting degree a plus) 

2 to 5 years experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment

Computer literacy in MS Excel, Word, Outlook & Access.

Experience with ADP Payroll and time and attendance system a plus.
