Brookfield Engineering Laboratories, worldwide leading manufacturer of quality scientific and industrial measuring instruments and 2005 Northeast Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing award winner, has an immediate opening for a full-time General Accountant/Payroll Administrator.

Duties will include assisting in monthly/annual closing process including general ledger entry preparation and related account analysis.  Responsibilities also include maintaining payroll and time/attendance databases, processing of in-house payroll, quarterly and annual payroll tax reports, 401(k) contribution reports, and preparation of 5500 information returns.

Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting with 2-3 years experience with various accounting and record-keeping duties.  Comprehension of general ledger function for proper account coding, attention to detail, and good organization skills required.  Previous payroll experience a plus but not required if candidate has the required general accounting education and experience.  High energy and ability to think independently also required.
