General Accounting Manager

Company located in Fairfield County is looking for an experienced Accounting professional.

 

The responsibilities of this position include:

· Preparing Month-End Journal Entries for the Corporate location,

· Preparing Corporate Income Statement and Balance Sheet Analysis, including commentary,

· Bank Reconciliations,

· Reconciling Corporate G/L Accounts,

· Assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial statements,

· Assisting with the preparation of the annual budgets and related analysis,

· Performing related duties and responsibilities as required, and

· Providing financial information for monthly, quarterly and annual disclosures.

 

The qualifications required for this position include:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred,

· Five years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience in a multi-operational company,

· Knowledge of GAAP,

· Experience with SEC reporting extremely helpful,

· Ability to analyze accounting, fiscal and functional data,

· Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive fiscal analyses and report,

· Solid computer skills that includes proficiency in Excel and Word and PeopleSoft,

· Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task,

· Strong verbal and written communication skills,

· Attention to detail, and

· Ability to work independently and efficiently a must.
